Dominican film exhibition organized in Cuba

 

Havana, January 9 (RHC) A film exhibition from the Dominican Republic will pay tribute in March to the 65 years of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC).

Víctor Oviedo Jr., director and producer; and Nicole Quiñones and Jean Rojas, producers and part of the management of the production company Acros Films, are visiting Havana for the preparation of the event.

The program of the visit included a tour of the Cubanacán Studios, the ICAIC facilities, a meeting with its Presidency, the Board of Directors and the state production company Audiovisuales ICAIC.

So far, the production company Acros Films, in charge of organizing the exhibition, confirmed the participation of more than fifteen films and documentaries, and two animated ones, for all audiences.

The films will be presented in different provinces of the country, in educational centers such as the University of the Arts, and institutions such as Casa de las Américas and the Casa del Alba Cultural; both in Havana. (Source: PL)
