Dr. Luis Enrique Martínez Rivero, a specialist in intensive and emergency medicine for adults at the Pedro Kourí Tropical Medicine Institute (IPK), where Juantorena, 71, remains hospitalized.
- The patient is reported to be under observation.
- On Tuesday, ventilatory support was removed and the patient is breathing spontaneously with supplemental oxygen.
- There have been no complications from the respiratory point of view.
- The cardiovascular system is also stable and from the neurological point of view he is vigilant, awake, cooperative and feeding himself.
- There have been no complications in the evolution of the patient.
