Raidel Martínez
Havana, July 24 (RHC) - Cuban pitchers Liván Moinelo and Raidel Martínez took the mound in the All-Star Game between the Pacific and Central zones in the 2025 Japanese Professional Baseball League.
This call-up to their respective circuits was in response to the excellent performance of both pitchers from Pinar del Río so far this season.
This series includes two games, and they played in the first, held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, which ended in a 5-1 victory for the Pacific League, which also won the second game 10-7.

Liván Moinelo
Left-hander Moinelo plays for the SoftBank Hawks, a club belonging to the Pacific League, and right-hander Raidel plays for the Yomiuri Giants, in the Central League.
In that game, Moinelo allowed a double with no runs and struck out one opponent in two innings of middle relief. The curious thing about his performance was that he retired the last batter he faced by pitching to the right.
In addition, the speedy closer Martínez had his duties “altered” and served as his team's starter. But he retained his dominance, retiring the three batters he faced in a row in one inning of work.
Both unbeatable, they remain key figures in the performance of their respective teams. They know it. And their mentors have recognized it.
