Tehran, September 5 (RHC)-- Member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America -- ALBA -- met in Iran on Wednesday to show their support for the Venezuelan government in the struggle against U.S. imperialism.

Under the "No More Trump" campaign, ALBA ambassadors from Cuba, Bolivia and Nicaragua rejected Washington's destabilization policies in Latin America, which include a massive economic blockade on Venezuela and threats of military intervention.

The “No More Trump” petition, begun August 10th by President Nicolas Maduro, denounces the U.S. administration’s illegal sanctions against Venezuela.  So far, the petition has gained nine million signatures.  When at least 10 million people have signed, all petitions circulating the globe will be sent to the United Nations in September, just in time for the 74th UN General Assembly set to begin on the 17th.

During a speech in Miranda last month, President Maduro highlighted the massive participation of people in his country and around the world in the campaign to call on the U.S. to lift the illegal economic blockade of Venezuela.
