Brazilians call for impeachment of Bolsonaro

Brasilia, February 21 (RHC)-- Brazilian labor centrals, social movements and organizations called for a day of protests on Saturday to demand the impeachment of President Jair Bolsonaro and the continuity of the vaccination plan against COVID-19.

According to organizers in at least 70 cities of the South American giant, rallies and marches are taking palce to press for the opening of the impeachment trial against the president.

The Central Unitaria de Trabajadores (CUT) and the political coalitions Brasil Popular and Povo Sem Medo (People Without Fear) reported that the actions are carried out respecting social distancing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

In addition to the request for impeachment, the mobilization includes the demand called Vaccine Now, which is free for the entire population, the strengthening of the Unified Health System, the protection of jobs and the extension of the monthly emergency aid until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
