Brasilia, October 30 (RHC)-- Brazil's former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva voted Sunday in the second round of national elections and said it is the most important day of his life.

'Today is possibly the most important day of my life and it is an important day for the Brazilian people.  Brazil is defining today a model of social organization.  I am convinced that the people are going to vote for this project of popular participation, a project that can rescue the people who are hungry, living on the streets', said the former president in an impromptu press conference after voting.

The leader of the Workers Party voted at the Dr. Joao Firmino Correia de Araujo state school in São Bernardo do Campo, in the south of the city of Sao Paulo.
