Kenyan President arrives in Havana

Havana, March 15 (RHC)-- Kenya´s president Uhuru Kenyatta is in Cuba for an official visit.  Deputy Foreign Minister Aberlardo Moreno welcomed him at Havana´s International Airport.

According to the Kenyan leaders´ agenda, on Thursday he will pay tribute to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti in Revolution Square, and to African leaders in a park devoted to that continent´s founding fathers in the Cuban capital.

He will also inaugurate the new Kenyan embassy in Havana on Friday and will witness the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Cuban and Kenyan Chambers of Commerce.

During the Kenyan leader's official visit to Cuba, President Kenyatta will hold official talks with the island's highest authorities.

Nairobi and Havana established diplomatic relations in 1995.

The Kenyan president will conclude his official visit to Cuba on Saturday.
