Rome, October 7 (RHC)--The Rotondi Prize for the Saviors of Art, awarded by the Italian State, has been awarded in its 2019 edition to Eusebio Leal Spengler.

The award was given to the historian of Havana for the rehabilitation of rhe Cuban capital, preservation of the patrimony of the Cuban nation, and especially for the work of recovery of the Havana Capitol.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Italy, José Carlos Rodríguez, by express order of the honoree, was in charge of receiving the Rotondi prize from the hands of the Undersecretary of State for Economic Development of Italy.

The award ceremony coincided with the celebrations of the Cuban Culture Days in Italian cities, which were inaugurated on October 3, and are being held by the Embassy of the island in that country, until October 31.
