Havana, July 25 (RHC)-- The Cuban Revolution arrives full of strength and renewed energy to the 67th anniversary of the events of Moncada, says Granma newspaper this Saturday.

On a front-page article, the official voice of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party stressed that the National Rebellion Day arrives in a year full of challenges and tensions, to which the COVID-19 pandemic from which the island has recovered added extraordinary challenges.

Entitled The Moncada lights up Cuba's destiny, the article asserts that the island's firm resolve to win has been conducive to arriving at this date with pride and optimism, which we will celebrate with the required prudence given the health situation.

With faith in the goodness and greatness of what has been created, the paper noted that the unity of the Cuban people has prevailed as well as its solidarity and discipline in the fulfillment of the strategy approved by the Party, and implemented by the Government and the Defense Councils.

The National Rebellion Day is traditionally held with a rally. For the first time since the triumph of the Revolution, the Political Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party decided not to hold the central event. Instead, it promoted activities following the epidemiological situation derived from the COVID-19 pandemic.
