Cuba thanks China for the donation of lung ventilators

Havana, January 9 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez thanked China for donating lung ventilators to support the confrontation with the Covid-19 epidemic on the island.

On Twitter,  the Foreign Minister described the gesture as a new expression of the close friendship and solidarity between the two countries' people and governments.

On Friday, the First Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcelino Medina, and the Chinese Ambassador to Cuba, Chen Xi, signed the donation act, consisting of 38 units of pulmonary ventilators.

A diplomatic note states that the event was attended by directors and officials from the Ministries of Public Health, Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and the Foreign Ministry.
