Cuba reports 2952 cases of COVID-19 and 18 deaths

Havana, July 1 (RHC)—Cuban health authorities announced Thursday 2952 new Covid-19 and 18 deaths due to the disease.

The epidemiological complexity remains on the Caribbean island with 16 557 positive patients admitted to its hospitals.

With the current update, Cuba accumulates 193 945 confirmed cases and 1302 deaths.

The territories with the highest infection rates were Matanzas with 415 cases, Havana 399, Camagüey 354, and Santiago de Cuba with 300 cases.

In the meantime, the health intervention with the island´s developed vaccine continues.  As of June 29, 1 169 638 Cubans had been fully vaccinated, and almost 6 million doses had already been administered.
