Ghana and Cuba sign health cooperation agreement

 Accra, July 7 (RHC)-- The ministries of Public Health of Ghana and Cuba signed an agreement renewing cooperation in the health sector, diplomatic sources informed Wednesday.

According to a document issued by the embassy of the Caribbean country in the African state, the agreement enables the provision of health care services in Ghana by a Cuban Medical Brigade.

The source specified that the agreement was signed by Ghana's Minister of Health, Kwaka Agyeman-Manu, on the Ghanaian side, while on the Cuban side, it was signed by the ambassador of that state, Pedro Luis Despaigne Gonzalez, representing the Cuban Minister of Health, Dr. Jose Angel Portal Miranda.
