MINREX reports on two Cubans kidnapped in Haiti

Havana, December 20 (RHC)-- The Cuban embassy in Haiti reported the kidnapping by armed individuals of Cuban citizens residing in that country, Andrik Alfredo Abad Reinosa and Enides Galano Silva, both from Moa, Holguin province.

According to the Foreign Ministry website, Abad and Galano arrived in Haiti through individual work contracts with the company Autoplaza, whose owner informed the embassy about the incident, which occurred when they were on their way to carry out migratory procedures.

The Association of Cuban Residents also confirmed the kidnapping in Haiti.

The Cuban embassy notified the Haitian authorities of the case to find a prompt solution. Likewise, it will keep the corresponding Cuban counterparts and relatives informed as part of the consular procedures foreseen for these situations.
