Cuban President visits China's investment facilities in Havana

Havana, December 24 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Thursday toured investment targets of Chinese businesses on the island,  such as the Havana Graphic Enterprise and the Yutong branch.

According to a television news report, the President learned about the preparations to start the technological reconversion project at the Havana Graphic Enterprise, which is advancing as part of a loan from the Asian government.

The initiative will allow printing newspapers in the western part of the island and books, magazines, notebooks, and other graphic resources. According to the Chinese business executive in charge of the project, machinery with the most modern technology of its kind in Latin America will be installed.

Díaz-Canel also visited the Yutong branch, where he was interested in the production and use of hybrid buses in Cuba. The President thanked the company for its support, present in the country since 2005, as they have become the leading equipment suppliers for the development of public transportation.

Likewise, the head of state expressed his willingness to continue the joint work between both parties. Díaz-Canel ended his tour at a management center of Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba -Etecsa.
