Havana, July 9 (RHC)-- With the sad news of the death of the former president of the Republic of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos, the Cuban president has decreed an Official Mourning from 6:00 a.m. to 12 midnight on Saturday, July 9th.

During the period of the official mourning, the Cuban flag will be flown at half-mast at public buildings and military institutions.

Dos Santos led the sister African country of Angola from 1979 to 2017 and maintained historic relations with Cuba.
