Second Round of Cuba-Chile migratory talks held

Havana, Aug 5 (RHC) The Second Round of Talks on Migratory Issues between Cuba and Chile was held Friday in virtual format, informed the island's Foreign Ministry.

According to a statement, both countries analyzed the state of the migratory flow. They evaluated the implementation of joint actions to discourage irregular migration and illegal acts associated with this phenomenon.

Both parties underscored the importance of this type of meeting while expressing their willingness to strengthen operational mechanisms to reinforce bilateral collaboration in this area to guarantee a regular, orderly, and safe flow of travelers.

The Cuban delegation was headed by the general director of Consular Affairs and Cubans Resident Abroad, Ernesto Soberón, while the representation of the South American country was headed by the general director of Consular Affairs, Immigration, and Chileans Abroad, Rodrigo Donoso.
