Havana, Oct 6 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez thanked Mexico for the solidarity shown by its people and government after the recent passage of Hurricane Ian through the west of the country.

On his Twitter, the Cuban Foreign Minister expressed gratitude on behalf of the Island for the prompt help offered by Mexico in the recovery efforts, which included the shipment of electrical material and the support of technicians and specialists in electric generation.

As of Monday, that nation had sent to Havana 16 flights with 113 tons of resources for the electrical system affected by the powerful hurricane that hit the national territory on September 27 with category three on the Saffir-Simpson scale, out of a maximum of five.

Seventeen technicians and specialists in electricity generation also arrived in Cuba from Mexico to support the recovery work still being carried out in the provinces of Pinar del Río, Havana, Mayabeque, and Artemisa. (Source: ACN)
