Venezuela landslide

Havana, Oct 11 (RHC) President Miguel Díaz-Canel conveyed Cuba's condolences to the people and government of Venezuela for the tragic landslide that occurred in the town of Las Tejerías, in the state of Aragua, in that South American country.

Also, Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed in a message on Twitter his deep sadness for the disaster.

The landslide affected 21 sectors of the area and dragged with it mud, stones, trees, and electrical and telephone installations, besides damaging at least 15 companies.

Venezuela suffered for several days of intense rainfall throughout its northern strip as a result of a tropical wave, which later turned into a storm as it passed through the country. (Source: PL)
