Cuban deputy Luis Morlote

Brussels, Dec 2 (RHC) On Friday, Cuban deputy Luis Morlote considered to be very useful the broad agenda fulfilled together with his colleague Rolando Gonzalez in the European Parliament, where they participated in a session of the European-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly -EuroLat-, and in several meetings.

According to Morlote, both EuroLat and the other activities developed during the week in Brussels represented spaces to address the complexities and challenges facing the world and to share aspects of the Cuban reality.

We talked about the confrontation of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States and the resistance of our people to that policy of suffocation, he stressed.

The deputy expressed his satisfaction with the interest aroused by issues related to Cuba, and above all for the solidarity received from Eurodeputies.

Morlote highlighted the meeting held with MEPs from different countries and political tendencies, organized in the European Parliament by the Italian Massimiliano Smeriglio (Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats), in which they discussed the culture of the Caribbean country and ways to strengthen ties in the sector.
