Cuba’s First Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines visits China

Havana, Feb 17 (RHC) Cuba's First Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines, Javier Ruben Cid, is visiting China to advance in the implementation of the agreements resulting from President Miguel Díaz-Canel's trip in 2022.

 

According to the Cuban Embassy in that country, the official will review the progress of plans in the national power generation system, the use of renewable energy sources, the supply of nickel and other minerals to the Chinese market, as well as the promotion of new projects of interest for Cuba.

 

His agenda also includes meetings with authorities from the National Energy Administration, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and business counterparts from China.

 

Diaz-Canel’s short visit to China from November 24 to 25, included official talks at which he reached agreements to boost bilateral cooperation.  (Source: Prensa Latina).
