Havana, Sep 16 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel positively valued the presence of Caribbean Community (Caricom) leaders at the Group of 77 (G77) Summit.

According to the profile of the Presidency Cuba on the social network X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday the Cuban leader held a meeting with presidents, prime ministers and heads of delegations of the member countries of the subregional bloc attending the meeting.

A few hours before the closing of the deliberations of the two-day meeting of some 114 G77 nations, Díaz-Canel stressed the importance of having the voice of the Caribbean heard at the plenary session.

Caricom has expressed in the broad and diverse integration bloc gathered in Havana its commitment to meaningful exchanges among the nations of the global south and to the construction of more sustainable economies.

The day before, Dominica's Prime Minister Roosvelt Skerrit assured that Caricom remains willing to support and encourage all partnerships that are mutually beneficial, lead to synergistic solutions and foster socio-economic growth in the Caribbean area. (Source:PL)
