Cuba ratifies willingness to strengthen ties with Syria and Gambia

Havana, October 20 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez reported this Friday that Cuba ratified its willingness to strengthen diplomatic and cooperation ties with Syria and Gambia.

In his X profile, Rodríguez referred to a meeting he held with the Syrian ambassador, Ghassan Obeid, to whom he expressed solidarity with that Middle Eastern country with which Cuba has maintained diplomatic relations for more than 50 years. Rodríguez reaffirmed the will to continue working to strengthen political-diplomatic relations and the common interest of consolidating economic, commercial and cooperation ties.

The head of Cuban diplomacy also exchanged with Sheikh Tijan Hydara, Gambian ambassador in Havana, to whom he reiterated the island’s willingness to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between both countries. Both representatives discussed topics of interest on the bilateral agenda.
