Paris, January 19 (RHC-PL) -- Cuban representatives are attending an international Symposium on Educational Policies at UNESCO's headquarters in Paris.

Delegates are identifying strategies towards fulfilling the Action Framework of the 2030 Educational Agenda, which is part of the UN Agenda 2030.

The Cuban delegation is headed by Mercedes Escuredo, Education Director in the Cuban province of Camaguey. Other members of the delegation include representatives of Cuba's UNESCO Commission and of the country's permanent mission to the UN agency.

UNESCO Education Vice President, Qian Tang, addressed the meeting in Paris and called on the international community to work together to achieve the set goals.

The symposium, which runs through Wednesday, is the first follow-up meeting after the approval last November of the Action Framework for the 38th General Conference of UNESCO.
