Raidel raises to 31 games saved in baseball in Japan

Havana, September 12 (JIT) -- Cuban Raidel Martinez recorded his 31st save game in the Japan Professional Baseball League 2023 on Tuesday.

The right-hander from Pinar del Río allowed one run and two hits in one inning of relief in the 3x1 win of the Chunichi Dragons over the DeNA All-Stars at the Yokohama Stadium.

The right-hander from Pinar del Río, who gave up his second clean sheet of the year, increased his effectiveness to 0.40 and once again tied for the lead in saves in the so-called Central League.

To date, Martínez has worked in 46 games, accumulating three wins, one loss, 11 hold points and 31 saves. In 45 innings pitched, he has allowed 31 hits, including one home run, given away four tickets and struck out 60 times. He has barely allowed four runs, two of them clean.
