Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel received Thursday the vice president of the Government of Russia and co-chairman of the Russian-Cuban Intergovernmental Commission for Economic-Commercial and Scientific-Technical Collaboration, Yuri Borisov.

Havana, Apr 1 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel received Thursday the vice president of the Government of Russia and co-chairman of the Russian-Cuban Intergovernmental Commission for Economic-Commercial and Scientific-Technical Collaboration, Yuri Borisov, who is visiting Havana to attend the 18th Session of this mechanism.

During the cordial meeting, participants noted the excellent state of political relations between the two countries and reviewed the economic, commercial, financial, and cooperation ties. Díaz-Canel sent fraternal greetings to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Deputy Ministers of Economic Development and Finance, Vladimir Ilichev and Timur Maksimov, respectively; Andrey Guskov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Cuba; and Nikita Valerievich Gusakov, General Director of EXIAR.

The Cuban side was represented by the Head of Government, Manuel Marrero Cruz; Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca.
