Cuban provinces participate in world caravan against blockade

Havana, April 25 (RHC) The Cuban provinces of Las Tunas (in the east) and Villa Clara (in the center) joined on Sunday the world caravan against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean island.

According to the call, from 10:00 local time and strict compliance with the sanitary measures to prevent Covid-19, people in those territories began to ride bicycles, skates, and motorcycles along the main streets.

The Cuban family on the march 'against the longest genocidal siege in history that seeks to surrender an entire people due to hunger and needs', wrote on his Twitter account the first secretary of the Union of Young Communists, Diosvany Acosta.

Also, for this day, the youth organization launched the call for a tweet 'to denounce together the consequences of this hostile policy, with the hashtags #Cuba, #StopTheEmbargo, #No More Blockade.

In the context of the world caravan 'Bridges of Love', emigrants and associations of Cubans living in different regions, parliamentarians, academics, artists, and graduates in the Caribbean country, decided to attend public places in rejection of U.S. hostility.

Solidarity activities began last Friday in Turkey, with bicycle rides by solidarity groups in Istanbul and a rally in Anit Park in Ankara.

This Sunday in the United States, demonstrators will participate in more than 20 cities, including Miami, New York, Washington, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Tampa, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Indianapolis.

Last March, there were activities in a hundred cities in more than 60 countries against the U.S. siege, which has lasted for six decades and is considered a massive violation of human rights.
