Havana, Dec 23 (RHC) The Forecast Center of the Cuban Institute of Meteorology (Insmet) issued at 12:30 pm this Friday a Special Warning related to the arrival of the fourth cold front of the current winter season in the country.

SPECIAL NOTICE No. 1

The fourth cold front of the current winter season will arrive in the west of the country, causing a change of weather in this region, with the occurrence of showers, rains, and some thunderstorms, which will extend into the night in this part of the archipelago.

After its passage, high pressures of migratory continental origin will begin to influence a broad center located over the southern United States.

This system will impose northerly winds in the western region with speeds between 20 and 35 km/h, higher in gusts.

The persistence of these winds will cause strong swells on the northwestern coast, with light to moderate coastal flooding in low-lying areas of this coast, including the Havana Malecon, which will begin in the early hours of the morning and will extend into the night. A new Special Warning will be issued if necessary. (Taken from ACN)
