Havana, January 7 (RHC)-- Another quadruple tie occurred this Friday in the Dominican Baseball League (Lidom) after the Estrellas Orientales defeated the Tigres del Licey and the Aguilas Cibaeñas defeated the Gigantes del Cibao.

The easterners, who defeated their rivals 4-2, were behind on the scoreboard until the eighth episode, but in that inning they scored three runs that gave them the victory.

Gustavo Núñez was the most outstanding offensive player for the winners with two hits in four innings and Jorge Alfaro for the felines, who also batted 4-2.

The game was won by Williams Jerez (1-0) and lost by Jean Carlos Mejías (1-1). Ronel Blanco (3) earned the save point for the game.

In the other game, the aguiluchos blanked the Gigantes 5-0 thanks to a home run with the bases loaded by Aneury Tavárez in the sixth inning that made the difference, which could not be erased by their opponents.

Joel Peguero (1-0) won the game and José Cisnero (0-1) took the loss.

Today, Tigres-Gigantes and Águilas-Estrellas will play against each other.
