Havana, June 2 (RHC) - Nine of Cuba's top athletes will compete this Friday in rallies in Europe as part of their preparation for the Centrocaribes in San Salvador (June-July).

At the stop of the prestigious Diamond League in Florence (Italy) will be the triple jump world indoor champion Lazaro Martinez (triple jump), along with the Pan American high jump champion Luis Zayas, the 400 m Olympic finalist Roxana Gomez, the also triple jumper Andy Diaz and sprinter Reynier Mena.

The last two are not under the protection of the Cuban Athletics Federation.

On the other hand, four other figures will participate in the Meeting of Pamplona (Spain): Cristian Nápoles (triple jump), Eduardo Nápoles (pole vault), and Greysis Robles and Keily Pérez, both in the 100m hurdles.

Cuban athletics is currently training its main figures in several competitions in Europe, America, Africa and Asia, with a view to the Centrocaribes in San Salvador, where it aspires to several medals.
