Havana, May 5 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez has denounced the validity and the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, despite the international demands for its complete suspension.

On his official Twitter account, the Cuban foreign minister also referred to the growing solidarity with the Caribbean nation, as well as the expressions of support received from different organizations, political parties, parliamentarians and political, cultural and sports personalities.

Bruno Rodríguez stressed that such sanctions are "criminal and inhumane" and said that their impact "is more severe" at a time when countries are facing the new coronavirus pandemic.

There is a growing international demand to end the U.S. blockade against our country and the unilateral coercive measures against our people.

The final declaration of the virtual summit "United against the #COVID-19" of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), held on Monday through an on-line video conference, "strongly" condemned this type of measures.
