Cuba reports 48 new cases of COVID-19

Havana, September 29 (RHC)-- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported on Tuesday 48 new cases of Covid19 during the last 24 hours for a total of 5,536 since the beginning of the epidemic.

During the daily media briefing, the specialist stated that 7,298 patients had been admitted to the island´s isolation centers and hospitals by the end of the day   of which 541 were confirmed cases.

Duran explained that on Monday, the island´s labs tested 7 thousand 424 samples.

All diagnosed patients are Cuban, and 43 of them are confirmed case contacts.

By province, 30 cases were from Havana, 7 from Ciego de Avila, 9 from Sancti Spíritus and  2 from Matanzas.
