Cuban president in Iran, last stop of his tour in the Middle East

Tehran, December 3 (RHC / Prensa Latina)-- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel arrived today in Tehran, Iran to complete an official visit, which closes his tour of Middle East countries.
 
The head of state arrived late Sunday night in the Islamic Republic from Qatar, where he held official talks with Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Tahin.

Diaz-Canel also met with some thirty Qatari businessmen and Cuban health collaborators in the Arab country.

Upon his arrival in Iran, the president was received by the Minister of Public Health and Medical Education, Bahram Einollahi, according to the Presidency of the Republic of Cuba on the social network X.

Cuba and the Islamic Republic of Iran have maintained uninterrupted diplomatic relations since August 8, 1979.

During the last four decades, both countries signed and consolidated agreements and exchanges in areas such as biotechnology, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical industry and food safety.

In June of this year, Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi paid an official visit to Cuba, during which six cooperation documents were signed.
