During the inauguration, Dr. Regla Angulo offered a keynote lecture on the island's health system, which gave way to debates in different commissions.

Presentations of works on thyroid surgery, healing of septic wounds, Guillain-Barré syndrome in pediatrics, congenital malformation of the late type II pulmonary airway and on primary retroperitoneal tumor, among others, took place during the morning and part of the afternoon.

Such research, born during the provision of services, is aimed at generating and sharing knowledge, skills and abilities for the work of saving lives.
