Cuban president visits important economic entities in Matanzas

Havana, February 9 (RHC) -- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, visited this Friday entities of economic and social relevance in the western province of Matanzas.

The objective is to verify strategies, practices and projections focused on improvement.

During the visit to the Unidad Empresarial de Base (UEB) of Productos Lácteos Cárdenas, the dignitary was accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the CC-PCC; Susely Morfa González, first secretary of the PCC in Matanzas territory; and other political and governmental authorities.

Díaz-Canel was interested in the connections that allow them to keep the industry vital despite the limitations, the productions in which they venture, and urged workers to continue along the path of creativity.

The director of the UEB, Mayra Castell Rodríguez explained that they are currently working on lines of ice cream, chocotere (a cocoa-based confectionery product), syrup, custard and miragur (a whey-based product), the latter two being the result of the productive linkage with the MSMEs Marrero Sabor and Súper Bola.
