Minsk, June 25 (RHC)-- The President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel began his official visit to Belarus on Wednesday at the Palace of Independence in Minsk.
The welcoming ceremony took place in the courtyard of the imposing building, founded in 2013. The embrace between Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and his Cuban counterpart marked the beginning of a momentous day, a symbol of the fraternal ties between the two nations.
The two leaders then took an official photo for the press, before the two flags: the white, blue, and red flag with the lone star; and the red and green flag.
Later, in one of the halls of the Independence Palace, Díaz-Canel and Lukashenko held official talks accompanied by their respective delegations.
Accompanying the Cuban Head of State were Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Emilio Lozada García, head of the International Relations Department of the Party Central Committee; Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, head of Foreign Trade and Investment; and Mayda Mauri Pérez, president of the BioCubaFarma group, along with other officials from the Foreign Ministry.
