World Youth Boxing Championship

Havana, November 23 (JIT).- Cuba minted the three bronze medals attempted on Tuesday and will have this Wednesday six exponents in the semifinal of the World Youth Boxing Championship of La Nucia 2022, in Spain.

Ewart Marín (51 kg), Pedro Alexis Veitía (71 kg) and Luis Reynoso (80 kg) celebrated triumphs marked by unanimous votes (5-0) and raised to 19 those of their team in a fight in which they have only suffered two setbacks.

"The opponent presented himself well, but I applied the indications of my coaches and that allowed me to get the job done," Reynoso commented to the organizers' website.

The Antillean highlighted the balances of the preparation base covered in Paris and the good atmosphere prevailing in the collective, and predicted that his cast will return home with the scepter by countries, merit conquered for the last time in 2016.

The others who will climb into the ring for silver and a place in the fights for the sashes are Kryhztian Barrera (75 kg), Ronny Álvarez (86 kg) and Adrián Fresneda (92 kg), winners this Monday at the start of the quarterfinals.
