Washington, May 19 (RHC)-- The solidarity organization Puentes de Amor (Bridges of Love) affirmed Wednesday that some of the measures announced by Biden regarding Cuba coincide with its requests made to the U.S. President Joe Biden since his presidential campaign.

In a statement signed by its organizer, Carlos Lazo, Bridges of Love welcomed those changes, which among other measures, include the processing of visas at the U.S. embassy in Havana, the reestablishment of the Family Reunification Program, the restoration of regular and charter flights to the provinces and the unlimited sending of remittances.

However, the statement stressed that welcoming the new measures does not mean that the Organization is satisfied or that it will demobilize. On the contrary, they will continue as long as Cuba remains on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, as long as Trump's more than 240 sanctions stay in place, and the blockade against the island continues.

The text stated that Bridges of Love will be alert to observe how the Administration implements the promised changes. It will continue to insist that the entire catalog of unjust and cruel aggressions against the Cuban people be reversed.

In his statement, Bridges of Love insisted that a positive step had been taken. Still, they considered that the road ahead is long and full of hurdles.

Bridges of Love concluded its statement by vowing to continue to fight until the day the blockade is lifted once and for all and recalled that the next caravan in favor of the Cuban family will be held in the United States and other countries on May 29.
