Algeria appreciates the support from Cuban health personnel

Both sides highlighted the historic ties of brotherhood between the two peoples.

Havana, Jan 17 (RHC) The National People's Assembly of Algeria expressed Tuesday in Algiers its gratitude to the Cuban government for the support of the Caribbean nation's health personnel to its country.

 

During a meeting with a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) Yudi Rodriguez, the president of the Parliament's Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Emigration Committee, Salim Merah, conveyed the gratitude of Algerians for the work carried out by more than 900 Cuban doctors.

 

Both officials highlighted the historic ties of brotherhood and recalled the celebration of the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations, which they considered to be at its best moment.

 

Also present at the dialogue were members of the group of friendship with Cuba, who expressed their gratitude for the presence of the Cuban delegation in the Saharawi refugee camps and the support to the Polisario Front.

 

In the Algerian capital, Rodriguez met with the secretary general of the El Moustakbal Front party, Abdelaziz Belaid, who expressed support and willingness to promote bilateral relations at all levels.

 

The member of the CC-PCC Secretariat acknowledged Algeria's accompaniment in the struggle against the U.S. blockade in international organizations and other forums (Source: Prensa Latina).
