Caracas, September 3 (RHC)-- Thousands of Venezuelans mobilized again this Saturday in support of the government of President Nicolás Maduro and in repudiation of the unilateral restrictive measures imposed on the South American nation by the United States and the European Union.

Militants and followers of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), workers from different sectors, women and youth gathered in Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Lara, Monagas, Sucre, Portuguesa, Aragua and several parishes of Caracas.

The mobilized people also supported the call for peace made by the Bolivarian Government in view of the opposition's maneuvers to disregard advances in the political dialogue and stability in the nation, such as the recent election by the National Assembly of the National Electoral Council (CNE).

From the parish of El Valle, in Caracas, the mayor of the city, Carmen Meléndez, expressed through the social network X: "People in the streets in defense of the Homeland and in rejection of the blockade and sanctions", a message she accompanied with images of a massive act in support of Nicolás Maduro and the country's development program, conceived to provide greater happiness and wellbeing to its people and to overcome the impact of the imperialist economic war.

Meléndez underlined that there are marches "in all corners of the homeland", in reference to the patriotic acts in other states, which have been taking place for several weeks.  In messages disseminated through the referred platform, President Nicolás Maduro greeted the people "brave and determined to defend the freedom, sovereignty and peace of Venezuela".

The Venezuelan leader highlighted the mobilization of his compatriots and the deployment of forces organized by the PSUV, which he described as vital for future challenges.
