Rome, July 21 (RHC)-- A tribute to the Henry Reeve medical brigade and to Cuba, for the assistance provided to the Italian region of Piedmont in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic, took place Tuesday, July 21, at 10:00 pm Italy Time.

The site chosen for the event was the Mole Antonelliana, the most representative building of the city of Turin and one of the most emblematic landmarks of all Italy.

The initiative, promoted by the Agency for Cultural and Economic Exchange with Cuba and the Cuban Embassy in Italy, was sponsored by the city of Turin in collaboration with the IREN electric company.

The lighting of the Mole Antonelliana, in honor of the Cuban doctors, constituted an exceptional occasion, as it is only lit up in a few and very special moments of celebration. And for the first time in history, the symbol of Turin does so with the name of a foreign country, which demonstrates the deep and positive impact of the solidarity work of the Henry Reeve Brigade in the city of Turin.
