Beijing, August 28 (RHC)-- A plane with sanitary products donated by the government of China left Saturday for Cuba in the context of a worldwide wave of solidarity to support the island in confronting the Covid-19 pandemic.

The island's embassy in Beijing said the shipment includes thousands of masks, suits, gloves, goggles, antigen tests, and other items necessary for the daily work of medical personnel involved in the care of those afflicted with this disease.

This is the third batch of aid from China that Cuba will receive in less than a month, after the 30 pulmonary ventilators sent at the end of last July and the 150 oxygen concentrators donated last week.

Representatives from Havana consider all these actions as evidence of the will of the authorities and population of the Asian country to show solidarity with the island just when it is going through a special situation.
