Cuban and Peruvian artists sing ‘Tabú’ to Celebrate Africa Day

Havana, May 26 (RHC) - Cuban and Peruvian artists joined their voices and performed “Tabú”, by Margarita Lecuona, to mark Africa Day.

´Artists from Cuba and Peru have collaborated from their homes to sing to Africa. Let this small musical gesture serve to draw attention to the past and present of the continent to which we owe so much,´ the so called Diva of the Buena Vista Social Club, singer Omara Portuondo wrote on her Facebook profile. Portuondo, who is also known as ´La Novia del Filing,’ joined the tribute to Eva Ayllón, Dayme Arocena, the Failde Orchestra and other friends.
