Brasília, April 20 (RHC)-- The National Association of Cuban Residents in Brazil Jose Marti joined the international demand calling for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade by the United States against the island.

At the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, "the criminal and unjust blockade by the U.S., to which our country has been subjected for six decades, greatly hinders the possibilities of purchasing supplies and technology" to confront the pandemic, the group denounced in a statement.

It indicates that transnationals from the U.S. are the main producers of medicines and devices, and "not only can we not buy them from them, but they prevent companies from other countries from selling us equipment containing more than 10 percent of American components."
